Scottsdale Dental Office

Our practice is dedicated to the safety of our patients and employees. We have constructed our office with state- of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge sterilization systems including UV-C light disinfection when the office is unpopulated. This enables not only all equipment and surfaces to be disinfected but also any lingering, uncaptured aerosol produced from dental procedures. Our Air Conditioning System is equipped with a special MERV 15/15A HEPA filter and a Halo UV-C disinfectant scrubber. During regular hours, all surfaces are meticulously cleaned with certified EPA approved disinfectants. All patient Instruments are manually and chemically cleaned, individually bagged, and sterilized in an autoclave.

The Doctor and staff wear medical scrubs covered with disposable gowns, gloves, masks, face shields, and shoe covers when appropriate, which are changed between patients. While this pandemic is active, we will treat a reduced number of patients per day to provide time to clean and disinfect our operatories reducing the bio-burden in our office.

During our appointment reminder call, the staff will inquire if you have been ill and if so, request that you make an appointment with your doctor, be referred to an appropriate facility, and reschedule your appointment. We will request patients call when they arrive before entering and we will conduct temperature checks and a short COVID-19 history survey. A temp check above 100°F will be referred to their personal physician for consultation. Our survey will also ask if you have shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, pressure in your chest, fever, cough, blushing of the lips, face, or extremities. If you have any of these symptoms, we will ask you to seek medical attention promptly, and cancel your appointment. Remember, known or suspected COVID-19 patients cannot be treated in our dental office as it is dangerous to our other patients and our personnel.

Once we determine the patient is healthy, we will welcome you into our office. Upon seating, we will ask you to rinse with 10% Peroxyl to reduce the amount of bacteria in your mouth. To further reduce personal contact, we will eliminate the normal check-out procedure and request that you leave a credit card number on file, or pre-pay for your appointment.

As this pandemic resolves, many of the procedures will return to a new less intense normal, but for now, dental delivery will be different.
